Sublime vocals, stunning string arrangements: Freefall is lush and ornate, a tapestry of beauty, passion and rhythm. It draws on the distinct musical worlds of Middle Eastern, Jazz and Trance music to create what is essentially a highly original and evocative mini album.
Freefall juxtaposes these varied genres and musical cultures masterfully and seamlessly. The music is far from formulaic, which Noemi attributes to the influences of artists such as Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, and Bjork, and to being a natural rule-breaker from birth.

To me, she muses, boundaries in the music were there only if defined by the feel and movement of the song itself.
I was, and still am, a devoted dreamer.
Initially, Freefall was conceived acoustically on the dual foundations of a string quartet and a jazz quartet, but soon it embraced the technologies of our times and began to develop beyond. Noemi then met Dorian West through mutual friends, and knew instantly that this would be a warm and fruitful musical relationship. Dorian carried Freefall forward to become a present-day production, addressing the audience on its own terms.
